Front left is Stephen rue and Karl Cazzini
This photo was taken in 1959, it is the class of ‘65 when they were in Prep A with Mrs Brown. It was sent in by Margaret McKenna (nee McMillan). She said; “Also in the photo is Wally Devers. I'm fairly sure one of the pupils is Gerald Myles son, Richard. Second from the left on the front row. I am the one third from the left in the middle row”. Are you in this photo? ... See MoreSee Less

I was a year behind and Henry Bird was in our year. Next to Alan Boate in front row is the late Gordon Gray. Could 3rd from left be Brian Cornish? Is Scott McNutt perhaps one of the blonde guys? Alan Mathews in the back row? George Leech? Many names come back to mind when I had to bring my detention to Brosnan’s class the next day and be humiliated and often brought to tears in front of these guys. One of the few bad memories of WCD.
L to R, starting in the back row. Pat ???, Alan Kron, Heather Johnson, Johnny Burrows, ???, ???, Lorraine Squire, Philippa Green, Pauline Vanderzee, Stephen Good, Margaret McMillan, Patrick McEwan, Stephanie Kew, Gregory Richardson, ???, Richard Myles, Henry Bird, Michael Gilbert, Brian Egan, Robert Kirkpatrick, Alan Boate, ???, Susan Holmes. I'm open to correction on some of these names.
4th from right in the front row is Robert Kirkpatrick, the Vice Principal Wm Kirkpatrick's son. 2nd from the left front row is the Principal's son Richard Myles. Farthest to the right on her own (front row) is Susan Holmes whose siblings Rosemary, Roy and Diana were both at Wesley..Rosemary was in the Class of 1953, Roy who became a commissioned officer in the RAF was a year or two behind her and Diana was my year 1963. Their father Herbert Holmes was a very famous jockey who won the Irish Derby in the late 1950's.They are all living in the United States.I recognize almost every other face in the photo but can't for the love of me put names to all the faces. 😀 Poor Willy Devers - he was such a nice man when I think about it although every time he gave us detention for being naughty, he always started by saying "This hurts me as much as it hurts you" - I'll bet you anything that many of you border boys will remember that ! But he was a decent fellow - sadly missed. 😀😀.
Thanks to Dudley Dolan for this photo. He said it is Class 11A also taken in 1954 without Gerald Myles. The teachers are Sam Magee and Mary Smith. It seems that the photographer in 1954 liked this location rather than the front steps. ... See MoreSee Less

Many Epworth memories come to mind when I recognize many of these faces, and who could ever forget our intrepid leader, "Smithy"? Valerie Ellis ( Barkman)
Again, can anyone see similarities to this girl, name is Joan and dated 1949
Sam Magee ? Also called George Magee, went to teach in Raphoe.
Thanks to Mark Cazzini, who sent this photo in on behalf of his Uncle, Don Cazzini, Class of ‘55. This was taken in 1954 when they were in 5th year. Donald Cazzini is the last boy, front row on the RHS. Do you know anyone else in the photo?

Front row Leonard Moore, Brian Little, John Gibson, Lesley Gill, Malcolm Nuzum, Lesley Cowper, Donald Cazzini.
Oh yes I remember little Hans Cazzini and his remarkable journey to Ireland... Didn't Don Cazzini work for Rex Robert's studio? You will gather my vintage so forgive me if I am having "" flights of fancy"" but I picked out : Hazel Thompson, Sheila Veale, Elaine Bradshaw (golfer) and Brenda Irwin.
Dear Mark, sending greetings to Don from my father Gordon Cadle. He remembers your Uncle in school he was a year ahead of him.
I remember Don and Hans Cazzini. The teachers in the photo are Mr. Hardiman and Miss Abernethy as far as I can recall. Other names that spring to mind are Hilda Tennant, Sheila Price, Margaret Gordon??, Len Moore?? and Leslie Gill. Also regards to Gordon Cadle not in photo but mentioned in comment.
wonder if this girl is one of them, drawing dated 1949, her name is Joan which is all I know of her. Artist was Betty Moore, whose husband Samuel who died in 1924 had been maths teacher at Wesley. any info welcome, thank you!
Front row left to right. Leonard Moore,
Back row Hilda Tennant, Dorothy Tomlin, 3? 4? 5 Doreen Webster, 6? 7 Audrey Tully, 8? 9?. Teachers Mr Hardiman and Miss Abernethy
Interesting so many more girls than boys in that class. I started in Wesley in A Upper the following year but remember a couple of the names who were 6th form then, form hockey I think, Hilda Tennnant and Sheila Price. My sister Shirley was three years older than me so would have known more of them.
I was in that year in Wesley and remember some of the names. Back Row L/R Hilda Tennant, Dorothy Tomlin, Pamela Rickard, ? Roe, Doreen Webster, Joan? McKee,Audrey?, not sure, Sylvia McCrea, Middle Row. Joan Stein, me Jean Galloway, Rosemary?, Sheila Price, can't remember, Thelma?, Ann Veale, can't remember. Front Row. Leonard Moore, Brian Little, John Gibson?, Leslie Gill, Malcolm Nuzum, William Cowper, and Don Cazzini. I would be very interested to know how many of this class are still around. A long shot as I am 82!! Good wishes to everyone.
Middle row 1. Joan Stein, 2? 3? 4 Sheila Price, 5? 6? 7 Ann Stein (maybe) 8?
